The first CommuniCon took place February 9–10, 2013 at Los Angeles City College. The second and third took place October 19–20, 2013 and October 24–25, 2014 at The Embassy Suites in Glendale. The conventions have included writers’ panels, supporting actors’ panels, a crew panel, panels about the Inspector Spacetime web series, the Six Seasons and a Movie art show put on by PixelDrip Gallery, and the Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne video game, trivia contests, costume contests, fan art, fan testimonials, and presentations and Q&A sessions with creator Dan Harmon and co-showrunner Chris McKenna.

CommuniCon is a completely fan-organized and fan-run convention focused on the television show, Community. It is not sponsored by or associated in any way with NBC, Sony, Yahoo!, or any of their associated companies or affiliates.
CommuniCon doesn't exist just for itself. We have committed to giving any excess beyond operating costs, which are low due to everyone volunteering and our status as a charity, and we currently chose the World Central Kitchen. They have served over 600 million meals globally to those who are hungry. What an incredibly noble thing they do. Help them if you can.
